With over 20 years experience in the manufacture and use of these products, we can offer advice as to the selection and processing of chemical blowing agents in a wide range of applications and polymers.

Our current product portfolio contains offerings that have been developed over many years for most “standard” applications; however our expertise will enable us to custom design a product that will meet your expectations.

Our laboratory services include for the design of your blowing agent from scratch given your input in terms of process conditions and expected behavior of the finished product, i.e. weight reduction goals, cell structure, color, to name a few. It does not stop there, when we have a product that is recommended we can also screen this material in your compound in our application laboratory, saving you valuable assets in terms of manpower and laboratory time. In these times of reduced overheads, you may rely on us to provide technical help to support your application.

Hughes Polymer Additives Corp. was founded by John Hughes who started the original business, Hughes Industrial Corporation in 1989. This company was subsequently sold to Bayer Corp. in 2000.
